Guide to Paying Land Revenue (Khajana) Online in Assam
Transition from Mouzadar to e-Khajana
Historically, citizens paid land revenue to the local Mouzadar. To plug revenue leaks and increase convenience, Assam launched the e-Khajana platform, directly linked with Dharitree databases.
Steps to Pay Khajana Online
- Log into the Sewa Setu portal. Only registered users can access the e-Khajana module.
- Upload a copy of your recent Jamabandi or old Khajana receipt.
- The system will evaluate your Patta against the Dharitree database and calculate the pending dues.
- Once approved by the Lot Mandal, a payment link is activated. Pay the amount securely using UPI, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
- Immediately download the system-generated e-Khajana receipt.
Warning: Keeping your land revenue up-to-date is mandatory. You cannot apply for sale NOCs, land partition, or mutation if your Khajana is pending.
